ABOUT US

Tails Up has operated in Minnesota since 1995 in various locations in Rosemount, Lakeville, Burnsville and most recently Eagan. Experience counts when it comes to giving you and your dog the best training. Each member of the Tails Up staff competes in American Kennel Club dog shows and has more than ten years of experience in dog training, breeding, showing and grooming. Moreover, they understand what it means to have a well-behaved canine family member and how to help you achieve that goal. Tails Up is supportive of all dog owners' training goals from simply having a reliable "come" command to advanced obedience competition.

We use balanced training methods to help your dog learn to be reliable as well as eager and willing.  We are as gentle as possible, but as firm as necessary. We believe training should be enjoyable for dog and owner alike. We promote a good working relationship of mutual respect between owner & dog.

Owner, Kori Bevis

Kori has worked with animals since she was a young girl, and began competing with her dogs in 2003. With her Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers, she has earned more than 40 obedience titles including five prestigious American Kennel Club OTCH (Obedience Trial Champion) titles, 22 perfect 200 scores, 150+ HIT awards (Highest Scoring Dog in Trial), 150+ High Combined awards (Highest Combined score in Open B and Utility), and more than 4500 OTCH points. She has been invited to compete 15 times with the top dogs in the country at the AKC National Obedience Championship. In 2017 she had the honor of being the youngest person to ever win that event with her Labrador Retriever “Cedar”. She won the NOC event again in 2022 and 2023 with her Golden Retriever “Baker”, becoming the first person to win the event with two different breeds of dog. Baker also won the American Kennel Club Obedience Classic Master’s division, and the Westminster Kennel Club Master’s Obedience Championship, becoming the first dog in history to win all three major AKC obedience championship competitions. You can read more about this achievement in this feature story from WCCO.

Kori is an enthusiastic and creative trainer who promotes balanced training methods & a good working relationship of mutual respect between owner & dog. Kori wants everyone to enjoy their dogs as much as she enjoys hers. Above all, Kori loves helping people to be successful and achieve their goals with their dogs.
